PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS, AUSTRALIA’S Artistic Swimming Olympics SCHEDULE
New-look artistic swimming team competition kicks off with United States eyeing podium
Along with six other newcomers to the Summer Games, Australian Artistic Swimming Olympics Rayna Buckle and Kierra Gazzard will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Rayna Clasp and Kierra Gazzard are set to show up for the second time at the Olympics, having appeared at Tokyo 2020. The team’s traveling reserve has been named Natalia Caloiero.
At the World Championships in Doha in February, the Australian artistic swimming team posted its highest score ever and won three medals at the World Cup in China a few months later.
The names of the two swimmers competing in the duet event have not yet been released.
The group is instructed by Spain’s Paula Klamburg, Artistic Swimming Olympics a group bronze decoration victor from London 2012.
Imaginative swimming has been a piece of the Late spring Games beginning around 1984. This sport was played in the women’s duet and solo categories the first three times it was introduced. There will be two medal events for artistic swimming at Paris 2024: duet and team.
Australia has won 210 Olympic medals in swimming, but they have yet to win one in this event.
The Paris Aquatics Centre will host the artistic swimming competition from August 5 to August 11.
