Mega Millions numbers skyrockets to $740 million. See the winning numbers for September 6 drawing
Friday night's winning numbers were: 6, 23, 41, 59 and 63 with a gold Mega Ball of 25 and a 2X Megaplier
The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s drawing has reached a huge $740 million, and everyone is excited, from loyal players to those trying their luck for the first time.
The winning numbers were drawn just after 11 p.m. ET on Friday. The jackpot got so big because no one won the prize in Tuesday’s drawing.
“$740 million?! That’s enough to buy a lot of fancy clothes for me and something special for my mom,” wrote X user Stephanie White on Friday.
“Holy moly!” wrote another user, @robinsondie9871. “My lucky numbers are ready! Maybe this time, I’ll win and buy myself a new house with a pool.”
The lucky winner of Friday’s jackpot could take home an estimated $371.6 million after taxes if they choose the lump-sum payment. If no one wins, the jackpot might rise to over $800 million by Tuesday, according to the announcer after the drawing.
So far this year, only two people have won a Mega Millions jackpot: one in March from New Jersey who won $1.13 billion, and another in June from Illinois who won $552 million. Will you or your office pool be the next big winner?
