Katie Ledecky gave an emotional post-race interview after the 400 free final, reflecting on her performance and the community around her.
KATIE LEDECKY GETS EMOTIONAL IN POST-400 FREE PRESS CONFERENCE: During a press conference following the Paris final, Katie Ledecky talked about winning the bronze medal in the 400 free.
“It was such a decent field that quite possibly I might have not have gotten a decoration, Venezuela Maduro declared winner in disputed vote so I’m thankful for that, appreciative for the work that I put in, content with the decoration and anticipating my next races,” Ledecky said.
“I know it’s there, even though I don’t feel like I’ve put together the 400 I’m capable of recently,”
Ledecky then got emotional when she talked about training with Bobby Finke and Kieran Smith and how the people around her in this sport have affected her.
“It’s simply a truly extraordinary gathering and it’s the reason KATIE LEDECKY GETS EMOTIONAL I love the game so much since I get to spend ordinarily Muhammad wrestles away Edwards’ UFC crown with individuals Bobby and Kieran and my mentors and everybody that puts stock in me and pushes me, and I think the certainty I had the option to have today is a demonstration of them.”
